      Program Overview:

      This 20-hour retreat is designed for yoga teachers and advanced practitioners looking to deepen their understanding of alignment, sequencing, and teaching methodology. Participants will refine their asana practice, gain practical teaching skills, and earn 20 Yoga Alliance YACEP contact hours.

      Duration:

      • 4–5 days immersive retreat (can be adjusted for schedule)
      • 4–5 hours per day intensive practice + teaching labs + theory

      Retreat Curriculum & Content

      Day 1 – Foundations of Advanced Asana

      • Principles of alignment for advanced postures

      Day 2 – Sequencing & Class Flow

      • Structuring intermediate to advanced classes
      • Transitions, pacing, and energy flow

      Day 3 – Teaching Methodology & Cueing

      • Verbal cueing for clarity and precision
      • Hands-on adjustments and modifications
      • Observation skills and giving effective feedback

      Day 4 – Advanced Posture Labs

      • Mastery of inversions, arm balances, backbends, and complex asanas
      • Use of props and supports for safety
      • Refining personal teaching style while guiding others

      Day 5 – Integration & Teaching Practice

      • Teaching mini-sequences to peers
      • Receiving mentorship and constructive feedback
      • Closing meditation, alignment review, and retreat reflection
